Two friends, one fitting room
Nora and Janne met more than 25 years ago at the school gate. Their children were in the same class, and every morning they stood side by side with a coffee in hand. That coffee grew into a friendship that lasted, even long after the children had left home.
They shared everything. Including the frustration in the fitting room.
Because somewhere after fifty, something changed. Not just in their bodies, but in the shops too. Clothes were made either for a twenty-year-old girl or for someone who had already settled for “something easy”. What lay in between barely existed. And what was nice never fitted right: too tight around the tummy, too short in the sleeve, or just too wide in the wrong place.
The moment enough was enough
The last straw came with the wedding of Janne’s daughter. Three Saturdays in a row they went shopping together. Three Saturdays Janne came home with nothing, or with something she didn’t feel like herself in. On the last evening they sat at Nora’s kitchen table with two glasses of wine and a pile of return labels.
“Why is it so hard,” Janne said, “to simply find something you feel beautiful in, on the body you have now?”
Nora looked at her and said: “Then we’ll find it ourselves.”
How we work
That is exactly what Nora Janne is. Not a big fashion house, but two women choosing what they would wear themselves.
Fit first. Nora tries everything on herself. Janne looks critically at fabric, seams and how something drapes. If it doesn’t fit us well, it doesn’t make it in.
A size chart you can trust. We measure every piece and explain how to measure yourself. In between two sizes? We’ll honestly tell you which one we would choose.
Flatter, don’t hide. We choose clothes that flatter your body as it is today. No tents, no pinching seams.
A real person who answers. When you send us a message, you get a reply from us, not from a robot.
Order without worry. Doesn’t fit after all? You have 30 days to send it back.
Who we do it for
For the woman who sometimes feels invisible in the fashion world. Who knows what she wants, but can’t find it anywhere. Who doesn’t want to hide her body, but doesn’t want to be reminded every day of what has changed either.
